Book One
Alucard's lived a terrible life. Born into the Diabolus, a cult of estranged witches dedicated to freeing Lucifer from the void; his mother was slaughtered seconds after his birth, and he grew up in darkness until he was ready to do what he'd been born to do--die. When offered immortality to escape his fate and avenge his family, Alucard accepts and is reborn as the world's first vampire.
Four hundred years later, upon the tower of a rustic castle, Alucard meets Zalith. But being a vampire, Alucard isn't so keen to work alongside a demon--for demons and vampires are natural foes. To both their displeasure, however, they are teamed together to work for Damien, the tyrant Numen often worshipped by man as God. And the task: moving endangered vampires from Zalith's world to Alucard's.
With a year to complete their mission--alongside ridding Dor-Sanguis of Alucard's nemesis and Werewolf Queen, Ada--Alucard and Zalith must work together to do what needs to be done. But as they strive to reach their common goal, both the vampire and demon perceive an intimidating truth; they were both missing something in their very different lives. But would they have time to grasp it?

CHAPTER ONE - UPON THE TOWER

Alucard flicked the blood from his rapier and watched the werewolf's severed head drop to the ground to join the beast's twitching body. A satisfied smirk stretched across his pale face, baring the tips of his fangs. It brought him relief knowing he was one more wolf closer to his task's completion, and all he had to do now was face the Alpha.
CHAPTER TWO - THE BARD'S TALE

Elvin flew out of the tavern's wide-open door, grasping his beloved lute against his chest. His pecan-brown hair was scattered with pieces of rotten tomato and peanut shells, and as the crowd inside hollered in revolt, he pouted sadly.
"You don't know a good story when you hear it!" he yelled, shaking his fist.
CHAPTER THREE - THE CAUSE

Elvin scribbled in his notebook, glancing over at the boat in the distance every so often while he waited for the vampire to return. But as each moment passed, he grew more and more impatient.
He slammed his notebook shut and tucked it into his pocket along with his quill. What could be taking Alucard so long? Why did he have to fly over to some ship? Who was he talking to?

DOR-SANGUIS
(Translates roughly to Blood and Pain)
Nosferatu (book one) takes place primarily in Dor-Sanguis, one of Alvenguard's smaller countries. It is much like our Earth's own Romania and has similar culture and traditions.
Not only was Alucard born in Dor-Sanguis, but he lives and works here, too.
A lot of the locations are named after ancient Alvenguardian werewolf bloodlines.
